Memorial – Jer Bear (Jeremy) had spent the last 4 months at his vets waiting patiently
for his human to come out of the hospital. It was finally decided to release
Jer Bear into a good home. Since Jer Bear had Cushing’s Disease, this was
not an easy feat.
Sheba’s Haven decided to rescue this sweet little boy and has never
regretted it. He enjoyed himself here, watching the goings on at the haven,
perched on a pillow on the back of our sofa. Of course this also helped him
from being stomped by some of the residents that could not see well enough
to notice this dark, small object. He also loved the yard, rolling in the
grass and running around with some of the other residents.
After a couple of weeks with us, Jer Bear became ill, he was having
difficulties breathing. Tests revealed Jer Bear was full of tumors around
his lungs. Jer Bear passed peacefully on 31 May 11, after spending a month
at the haven. He may have been small but he left a big hole in our heart and
home.
